After a day of "fun in the sun", you'll enjoy coming home to the peace and quiet of your site in the cool shade of our beautiful oak trees. Shady Oaks is situated on 17-1/2 acres of beautifully landscaped Live Oaks, palms, 2 ponds, and wildlife. 1/4 mile across the road is Cove Harbor boat ramp and the Intracoastal canal, where you have free boat launching, bait shop, and restaurants. Over 180 sites with full hook-up amenities are offered. Enjoy our Recreation Hall. It's perfect for entertaining guests or planning a family get-together. The adjacent lounge is comfortably furnished and well air-conditioned. For those who like to stay in shape, the exercise area is very nice. Access to a computer & FREE Wi-Fi Internet is available. Another amenity that Shady Oaks offers is the cool and refreshing pool area. The outdoor pool is heated in Winter. We provide a nice family atmosphere and those traveling with pets are always welcome! We now have a Large Fenced-In Dog Run! Take part in our seasonal activities: bingo, potluck suppers, occasional meals served, picnics, holiday dinners, church services and more are offered throughout the year. Music, entertainment and crafts are also provided. We are located at 1301 Smokehouse Rd., 3 miles south of Rockport off business 35, on the west side of the road. There is free boat launch across the road at Cove Harbor. Hwy. 188 is 2 1/4 miles south of us. Our property also has a back entrance off Balderee Lane located at the south end of our property.
